Kuala Lumpur – The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been revived after a decade, as maritime exploration firm Ocean Infinity embarks on a renewed mission to locate the missing aircraft. Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed that the company has proactively deployed ships for the operation, despite final contract negotiations still being underway.

Flight MH370, a Boeing 777 carrying 239 passengers and crew, vanished on March 8, 2014, during its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, becoming one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.

Although Minister Loke did not disclose the exact timeline for the search or its expected duration, he emphasized the Malaysian government’s commitment to providing answers to the victims’ families. In December, Loke announced that Ocean Infinity would receive $70 million if it successfully located substantial wreckage of the aircraft.

This is not the first time Ocean Infinity has taken on the challenge—Malaysia partnered with the firm in 2018 for a similar mission, but despite extensive efforts, no wreckage was found. Now, with improved technology and renewed determination, hopes are high that this latest attempt could finally unravel the mystery that has haunted the world for over a decade.
