Shenzhen Topway New Energy has unveiled its latest innovations in battery technology tailored for racing drones, emphasizing enhanced power delivery, reduced weight, and increased durability for both competitive and industrial drone use. Central to their advancements is a new high-discharge lithium cell formulation designed to lower internal resistance and facilitate better ion transport. This innovation allows Topway’s 1300mAh 6S battery pack to achieve continuous discharge currents exceeding 130A, ensuring stable power output even in challenging flight conditions while minimizing voltage fluctuations.
In addition to the new cell formulation, Topway has introduced a low-resistance electrode manufacturing process aimed at boosting conductivity and reducing heat production. This technological leap not only enhances flight efficiency but also extends the battery’s lifespan and ensures consistent performance during intensive operations like drone racing and aerial cinematography. By incorporating ultra-thin aluminum-laminated packaging and a robust structural design, the company has managed to cut down on weight while bolstering impact resistance, thereby optimizing the power-to-weight ratio without compromising on durability during outdoor activities.
The company has also integrated a sophisticated battery management system that provides active cell balancing and safeguards against potential electrical issues such as overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits. This system supports fast charging and contributes to prolonging the battery’s operational life. Notably, Topway claims its battery packs can retain over 80% of their original capacity even after more than 300 charge cycles, and they are engineered to function in ambient temperatures reaching up to 60°C. A typical 14.8V 1300mAh lithium polymer battery weighs under 175 grams and can handle burst discharge currents over 200A for brief periods.
Topway has ensured that its products meet various international standards, underscoring their commitment to quality and safety. These standards include UL, CE, RoHS, IEC62133, and IEC62619, with manufacturing processes certified under ISO 9001:2015. These certifications reflect the company’s dedication to maintaining high production standards and compliance with global quality benchmarks.
