Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a new addition to its suite of cloud-based security solutions. This compact device is engineered to provide advanced access control and sensor connectivity for environments that require management of individual doors. By connecting directly to Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, the DC10 enables remote door management and lockdown capabilities, making it ideal for locations such as offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and single-door entrances where larger systems may not be feasible.

The DC10’s design includes one wet/dry relay, an additional dry auxiliary relay, and four inputs that can be supervised or unsupervised for various functions like request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its robust IK08-rated construction allows it to be installed in tight spaces, including above drop ceilings, providing flexibility in its placement near protected doors.

Power and connectivity for the DC10 are streamlined through its support for 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, allowing a single cable to deliver both power and data. This feature also supports a nearby camera, enhancing the overall security infrastructure. Additionally, the controller comes equipped with built-in connectivity for Rhombus’s environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, with a line-of-sight range reaching up to 100 meters.

With both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 maintains seamless cloud access, enabling operators to manage doors remotely without the need for an on-site server. This innovation effectively expands cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations, simplifying installation and reducing infrastructure demands.
